• Make sure your manuscript has a title. Feel free to let us know if this is a working title.

• Ensure your manuscript is complete and book two is complete or underway.

• In your query letter, please include:

  • Introductory Paragraph: Here, you’ll want to include your book AND series title, genre, target demographic (YA, NA, or Adult), and word count. If there’s something about Vasilisa Press that made you particularly interested in working with us you can include it here!

  • Series Pitch: Give us an overview of your entire series. We should understand where the series is going.

  • Story Pitch: You’ll want to include the basic premise of your initial manuscript, introduce us to some protagonists, and leave us wanting more! This is our way of getting to know your manuscript before we dive in and start reading.

  • 3-5 Comparable Titles.

  • About the Author: Just a few sentences about you! Tell us about your education, previous writing experience, and how you spend your time. What made you want to tell this story? Share your enthusiasm with us!

Submitting Your Query

When you are ready to query Vasilisa Press, please email us at queries@vasilisapress.com with the subject line SERIES QUERY: Novel Title (make sure that you replace the words Novel Title with your actual manuscript title).

The body of the email should be your query letter. Attached to the email should be what you consider to be the best 25 pages of your novel for us to review.

You will hear back from us within 6-8 weeks regardless of our decision.
